NGIN collaborated with Partnership for Southern Equity on the Communication Resource Guide for Inclusive Economic Development. This guide offers a glossary, resources, and data to aid practitioners in fostering community-driven, inclusive economies. NGIN is pleased to share insights on inclusive capital. Findings indicate that racialized definitions of risk restrict capital flow, 2020's corporate financial commitments might be better seen as market corrections rather than transformative investments, and there's potential for scalable investments that advance BIPOC wealth. Siegel Family Endowment awarded a grant to New Growth Innovation Network to examine how digital equity and social infrastructure can be leveraged for wealth generation among Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), and the role of economic leaders and organizations in advancing more equitable outcomes. This report highlights opportunities for leaders at the local and regional level to embed digital equity in all major economic advancement initiatives as well as explore ways to sustain long-term digital participation by empowering people and places.
